RADIO ART’S EVOCATIONS

Karen Werner is a radio artist and sociologist from the US, now based in Bergen, Norway. Her radio pieces have been broadcast on community and public radio stations across Europe, North America and Australia and have been part of numerous live events and art exhibitions. She leads workshops internationally on radio art production and writes academic articles about related topics. Werner received a Kone Foundation Saari Residency, two Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture Fellowships, and a Grand Prix Marulić for radio documentary. As the inaugural Wave Farm Radio Artist Fellow in 2019-2020, Werner has helped launch the Wave Farm Radio Art Archive.
